July 3, 2025-The Staten Island Youth Soccer League (SIYSL), the southernmost league in the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA), has a vibrant TOPSoccer Program.
TOPSoccer, The Outreach Program for Soccer, is a recreational program for children and adults with intellectual, emotional or physical challenges that is offered through soccer leagues and clubs under the US Youth Soccer umbrella. Staten Island TOPSoccer started nearly two decades ago and is now being led by the very enthusiastic Jerrier Atassi.
Jerry had some additional help on Saturday, June 21 as players from the Girls-Under-12 St. Charles Diamond Strikers came to Owl Hollow Fields to hand out trophies their club donated to the TOPSoccer players.
“I want my players to see that there is more to life than Snapchat, TikTok and shopping at the mall,” stated Diamond Strikers head coach Chris Haynes. “We played an informal game and my Diamond Strikers and the TOPSoccer players had an amazing time, even though it was hot! The trophies we handed out put a smile on their faces.”

With over 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border.
