As the governing body of soccer in all its forms in the United States, U.S. Soccer has played an integral part in charting the course for the sport in the USA for almost 100 years. In that time, the Federation’s mission statement has been very simple and very clear: to make soccer, in all its forms, a preeminent sport in the United States and to continue the development of soccer at all recreational and competitive levels.

Played by millions around the world, football is the heart and soul of FIFA and as the guardian of this most cherished game, there’s a great responsibility. This responsibility does not end with organizing the FIFA World Cup™ and the various other world cup competitions; it extends to safeguarding the Laws of the Game, developing the game around the world, and bringing hope to those less privileged. This is what is believed to be the very essence of fair play and solidarity.
