February 21, 2025-The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) is very pleased to announce that seven sensational players from our Olympic Development Program (ODP) have made the ODP National Team, which competes in international tournaments throughout the year. These seven players were part of the 47 players from Eastern New York who made the ODP Interregional Team and successfully tried out last month in Florida for a spot on the ODP National Team:

Otoniel Umana Alvarez, 2008 Eastern New York South Boys
Plays for New York Hota and Walt Whitman High School

Austin Sheehan, 2008 Eastern New York South Boys

Jake Hobi, 2009 Eastern New York South Boys

Nicholas Gentile, 2010 Eastern New York South Boys

Noah DeCicco, 2012 Eastern New York North Boys

Amelie Donzo, 2007 Eastern New York South Girls

Maya Robbins-Pianka, 2010 Eastern New York South Girls

Eastern New York ODP Director Jim Volpe stated, “ODP is very proud of these seven players who have realized this national honor and our oldest players continue to be wonderful role models for our youngest kids in the program.”

ODP is the highest level of play in each state association. Eastern New York has a particularly strong program and current US Women’s National Team players Sam Coffey, Crystal Dunn, Claire Hutton and Phallon Tullis-Joyce are all Eastern New York ODP alumnae.

With over 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with 10 leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of the United States Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer. For more information, please log onto http://www.enysoccer.com/
