November 19, 2024-The Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL), the United States’ most historic youth soccer league as it was founded in 1933, has teamed up again with AndGo Sports to host their annual College Showcase. Due to overwhelming interest and a full registration at Queens College, the CJSL has added an additional tryout date at SUNY Maritime to give more players the chance to participate.

“As League Director, I am incredibly proud to partner once again with AndGo Sports to co-host the CJSL College Showcase. This event represents more than just a platform for talented players to showcase their skills, it’s an opportunity for dreams to take flight. We are committed to creating an environment where young athletes can connect with college programs and take the next step in their soccer journey,” commented CJSL Director Dimitrie Draguca. “A special thanks to the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association for their continued support and sponsorship.”

AndGo Sports’ Operations Director, Marco DaFonte, added, “Partnering with the CJSL for nearly a decade has been an incredible journey for AndGo Sports. What sets the CJSL College Showcase apart is our commitment not only to helping athletes showcase their soccer talent, but also to connecting them with colleges that align with their academic and personal goals. It’s not just about the game, it’s about finding the right fit for each player, both on and off the field. We are proud to continue our partnership with CJSL, providing a platform where players can truly thrive, academically and athletically, as they take the next step in their college careers.”

The 2024 CJSL College Showcase is open to high school players graduating in 2025 and 2026. This showcase is a unique tryout-based event that prepares student/athletes for the college recruiting process.

With over 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with 10 leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away.
