Steve Jimenez and Morgan McCurdy

By Randy Vogt, Director of Public Relations, Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association

February 4, 2016-The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) is very pleased to announce that we have hired two new interns at our office in Rockville Centre.

East Elmhurst resident Steve Jimenez recently graduated from Molloy College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Marketing. He played soccer his entire life, including in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for both Eastern New York and Region 1. Steve has quite an impressive soccer résumé and he has played in Argentina, Spain and Italy, in addition to the United States, against the youth squads of such well-known teams as AC Milan, Barcelona, Boca Juniors, Independiente and Velez. Steve played college soccer for Molloy, a short corner kick from our office.

Morgan McCurdy is originally from York, Pennsylvania. Currently, she is a senior at Adelphi University, majoring in Sport Management with a minor in Business. Previously, she interned with the New York Islanders merchandising and licensing department. Upon graduation this year, she hopes to work in the operations or marketing department of a professional or minor league sports team. Morgan is no stranger to soccer as played competitively for 12 years and she’s even better at swimming, doing it competitively for 16 years, including swimming at the collegiate level for Adelphi.

Eastern New York would like to welcome Steve and Morgan and wish them the best of luck as they embark on their business careers.

With over 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with 11 leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Special Children. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of the United States Soccer Federation and United States Youth Soccer Association. For more information, please log on to http://www.enysoccer.com/, which receives nearly 300,000 hits annually from the growing soccer community.
