June 6, 2026-Atlantic United Aspire 11G won their third straight state championship when they defeated Niskayuna Select, 3-1, in the Girls-Under-15 final of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA). The match was played on Saturday, May 30 at the Blue Sky Sports Complex in Middletown.
The game was played for the Jack Bauman Cup. The cup’s namesake is considered the father of women’s soccer on Long Island as he was devoted to the Massapequa Soccer Club, Eastern New York and making sure that girls had as many opportunities to play soccer as boys did.
Violet Dvorsky scored two goals and Kaiya Dent added one for Atlantic United.
“We won because of the intensity and experience we bring to every match,” Atlantic United coach Brian Ellsayed stated. “We cherish to play in Nationals again.”
Atlantic United will represent Eastern New York as they play for the national championship on July 13 to 20 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Atlantic United also received the Rocco Amoroso Sportsmanship Award as determined by the game officials. Amoroso, a US Soccer Life Member who died a decade ago, started the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) Sportsmanship Program in 1980 to improve behavior on soccer fields.

With over 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border, east of Route 81. ENYYSA encourages the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of US Soccer and US Youth Soccer. For more information, please log on to http://www.enysoccer.com/
