March 2, 2022-The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) is pleased to announce that two of our former Olympic Development Program (ODP) coaches, Kelsey Hauser and Sade Ayinde, have been hired for two top coaching positions. Hauser is now the head coach of the Long Island Rough Riders of the W-League while Ayinde was named the head coach of the University of Albany women’s team.
Hauser had assistant coaching stints at Clarkson University, Vassar College and Hofstra University and will retain her coaching duties with Hofstra. She also served Clarkson as head coach and was a very important part of the Golden Knights’ 2017 Coaching Staff of the Year. Originally from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, she played for the Albany Alleycats and Seacoast United Premier in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL).

Ayinde previously served as an assistant coach with Yale University and Stony Brook University after starting her coaching career with the East Meadow Soccer Club. She played six years for both Eastern New York ODP and the East Meadow Shooting Stars of the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL). Ayinde competed professionally with Kopparberg/Göteborg FC and IF Brommapojkarna in Sweden plus W-League rivals Long Island Rough Riders and New York Magic.
“Eastern New York ODP was privileged to have Kelsey Hauser and Sade Ayinde coach for us,” ODP Director Jim Volpe said. “They were tremendous assets to the program and terrific role models for our players. I look forward to following their future success.”
ODP is the highest level of play in each state association and Eastern New York has a particularly strong ODP. Crystal Dunn and Allie Long are Eastern New York ODP graduates and current Women’s World Cup champs.
With approximately 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with nine leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of the United States Soccer Federation and United States Youth Soccer. For more information, please log on to http://www.enysoccer.com/
