February 1, 2023-The inaugural season of Eastern New York National League Conference Qualifier (ENYNLCQ) will feature Under-12 and Under-13 teams, both boys and girls, with each division champion being promoted into the US Youth Soccer National League Conference. The ENY National League Conference Qualifier, created by the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA), will kick off its first season this spring and consist of 8 to 10 teams per age group. Participation in the ENY National League Conference Qualifier is by application and invitation.
Once we have successfully established the pathway from the top ENY State League (ENYNLCQ) for the Under-12 and Under 13 teams, we intend to work with the US Youth Soccer National League Conference management staff to introduce the same offering to all ages.
“This is a new venture for Eastern New York, and its intention is to work collaboratively with all our member affiliate leagues to offer their best teams a pathway into the National League,” ENYNLQ Managing Director Jim Vogt stated. “By focusing on the younger age groups, we are able to grow over time and build solid relationships with teams and clubs. Our focus will be to provide an upward pathway but also be there for to support our member teams should they be required to move back into the state level leagues.”
The US Youth Soccer National League prides itself on clubs and teams “earning their place,” and participation in the ENY National League Conference Qualifier can be the gateway to participation in the National League’s North Atlantic Conference, which provides direct pathways to National League P.R.O. Top National League P.R.O. teams can advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships where teams’ on-field performances can crown them a US Youth Soccer National Champion.
With approximately 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with 10 leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of the United States Soccer Federation and United States Youth Soccer. For more information, please log on to http://www.enysoccer.com/
