June 21, 2018-Sporting Gjøa Berg of the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) dethroned the defending champs, Hicksville Barca of the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL), 3-1, to win Boys-Under-15 Arch Cup Platinum on June 9 at the Peter Collins Soccer Park in Plainview.
Lucas Bourbon, Eero Phillips and Daniel Safian scored for the Brooklyn-based team.
Sporting Gjøa Berg coach Lee Kellett explained, “We won today because of our possession, playing the ball around and kept fighting until the end.”
