May 31, 2017-The Eastern New York Premier League (ENYPL) is in the middle of its 17th year in 2017 and is the oldest continuous Premier League in the United States.

A first in 2016 was the Inaugural ENYPL College Showcase, hosted by the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA). After very positive reviews last year, the ENYPL College Showcase is back.

Unlike many other similar events, Eastern New York makes sure that it’s completely free for all participants. The ENYPL girls will play on Sunday, June 4 at Kissena Park in Queens. The Girls-Under-19 game kicks off at noon and the Girls-Under-17 starting at 2:00 pm. The ENYPL boys play on Sunday, June 11, also at Kissena Park, with Boys-Under-19 kicking off at 12:30 pm and Boys-Under-17 playing at 2:45 pm.

The goal for the players is to impress the college and junior college coaches scouting the competition to gain admission and scholarship to the school of choice.

With over 100,000 youth soccer players––both boys and girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with 11 leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of the United States Soccer Federation and United States Youth Soccer Association. For more information, please log on to http://www.enysoccer.com/, which receives nearly 300,000 hits annually from the growing soccer community.
