May 7, 2013-The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) is very proud of our partnership with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The Eastern New York instructional team led by Director of Coaching Instruction Tim Bradbury has been working diligently to ensure that we are at the cutting edge of coaching education. These efforts have resulted in a record number of course offerings being available throughout the state on a consistent basis.

"In an effort to ensure that we have first-class courses for both the interested parent and the professional trainer, it was essential that we build a strong relationship with the NSCAA," commented Bradbury. "Having coached and presented for the NSCAA for the last 18 years, I was able to call upon many of the wonderful coaches they have on their National Staff to ensure we could form a mutually beneficial agreement."

Founded in 1941 and the largest private coaching organization in the world, the NSCAA works every day to inspire coaches and ignite their passion for the game so they pass it on to players and others in the soccer community. They fulfill that goal through three core values: "Learn. Participate. Belong."

ENYYSA will be offering NSCAA Junior Level 1 through 4 courses as part of its extensive coaching course menu.

"These Junior level 1-4 courses are an excellent way for new coaches to learn how to teach the beautiful game in a manner which will create technically gifted players who are excited about the game, can solve problems and love to play," Bradbury added.

A NSCAA Level 1 course will take place on May 11 at Manhattan College while a NSCAA Level 2 course will take place on May 18 at the same venue. All coaches interested in registering for one of the ENYYSA/NSCAA courses can find all dates and locations on http://www.enysoccer.com/

With 123,843 youth soccer players––68,587 boys and 55,256 girls––and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with 12 leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. Eastern New York exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators. All levels of soccer are offered––from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Special Children. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away.
