April 14, 2014-The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) instructional team, led by Director of Coaching Instruction Tim Bradbury, have been busy over the winter updating all course content and continuing to develop our relationships with US Soccer, US Youth Soccer and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). As a direct result of these efforts, we are proud to announce a hectic summer schedule. In addition to more basic courses such as the E and the F, we will be offering the following nationally recognized licenses and diplomas:
US Youth Soccer National Youth License–This career-changing educational event takes place over two weekends in June and includes sessions where the candidates actually work with players of 6 years, 8 years and 10 years of age. All sessions are videotaped for instant feedback. The course will be held in Hicksville on June 13, 14 and 15 plus June 21, 22 and 23. The registration fee is $775. You can register by clicking this link: http://www.enysoccer.com/events/national_youth_license_-_hicksville_-_june13_14_15__21_and_22_201/?
When asked about the importance of this National Youth License course, Coach Bradbury stated, “I frequently come across youth coaches who have spent time getting their A license or Premier Diploma when their time would have been much better spent attending the National Youth License. When I look back on my own coaching development, it was this course that had the most impact and led to my greatest development. This course should really be a must for all youth coaches.”
FYI, the Long Island Junior Soccer League will be hosting a NSCAA National Diploma Course in Hicksville on July 11 to 13 plus July 18 to 20. For more info, please contact Bryan Alcantara at either firstname.lastname@example.org or 516-455-7167.
US Soccer C License–This US Soccer National event involves both field and theory sessions and is from August 1 to 10 at the OMM/World Class Facility in Orangeburg. The cost for the course is $975 and space is limited for the course. In addition to these two excellent courses, Eastern New York is hoping very soon to announce that a NSCAA National Diploma Course will take place over split weekends in June and July. The demand for this event created by the Eastern New York trainer certification program is very high and all interested parties should check Eastern New York’s website, http://www.enysoccer.com, on a regular basis for more info.
With all the educational courses being offered, it looks to be a very exciting summer for all those coaches looking to take the next step in their educational journey.
