Course Starting in Albany This Weekend to Certify as a Youth Soccer Referee

January 2, 2013-For those who have made it their New Year’s Resolution to become more involved in youth soccer, a perfect way to do that would be to become a ref. The Capital District Referees (CD-REF) are having an entry level class to become a youth soccer referee, which would enable you to officiate Capital District Youth Soccer League (CDYSL) and Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) State Cup games for the upcoming Spring Season.
 
The dates and times for U.S. Soccer’s Entry Level Referee Course are:
 
Saturday, January 5-8:30 am to 3:15 pm at the Sand Creek Middle School, 329 Sand Creek Road, Albany, New York 12205-2784
Thursday, January 10-6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Sand Creek Middle School
Saturday, January 12-8:30 am to 3:15 pm at the Sand Creek Middle School
 
You must be 15 years of age by May 1, 2013 and attend all 18 hours of the course. The fee is $123.00 for those 18 years of age and above or $115.00 for candidates 15-17 years of age.
 
To guarantee a seat in the class, mail a check or money order payable to CD-REF to:

Only 30 are admitted and the first 30 e-mails received are the candidates admitted to class. So please e-mail Michael at mrennic1@nycap.rr.com if you plan on attending.
