Defender Cari Roccaro of East Islip, N.Y. has been called into the U.S. Under-17 Women's national Team that will play at the Dallas Cup in Frisco, Texas. Roccaro, an Eastern New York ODP graduate who performs for the Albertson Fury, will play the Brazilian U-17 side twice at the Dallas Cup. The squad will play in a featured match at Pizza Hut Park on April 3 at 6 p.m. and again on April 5.

Brazil recently won the South American qualifying tournament to earn its berth to the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Trinidad & Tobago. The U.S. missed out on a berth at the recently completed CONCACAF U-17 Women’s Championships in Costa Rica, falling to Canada in penalty kicks in the semifinals. It was the first time a U.S. women's team -- youth or the full side -- failed to reach a FIFA world championship.

Mike Dickey will be the head coach for the U.S. U-17s with the same 20 players on the roster as represented the Americans in Costa Rica.
