The 2008 Region I championships for State Cup winners again will be held in Portland, Maine.  The dates: June 26-July 1.

The competition is for teams that have captured state championships -- in Eastern New York’s case, the Open Cup or the US Youth Soccer ENYYSA Championships championships, in the Girls and Boys Under-12 through U-19 age groups.

The Boys and Girls U-14 through U-19 regional winners advanced to the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships, which are scheduled for the Burns Park Soccer Complex in North Little Rock, Ark. July 22-27.
